Industrial Pipe is a tubular section or hollow cylinder，it is used to flow liquids to another place, sometime small solid material, there are many industries to require pipe, such as petrochemical, energy, paper making, water transportation.
We are reliable stainless steel pipe supplier, having over 10 year experience. We possess full sets of facilities to offer a wide range of sizes pipe, small diameter and large diameter pipe are available upon request.
Pipe Sizes and Dimensions
Industrial pipe sizes range from NPS 1/8 inch to NPS 48 inch in outside diameter, wall thickness range from Sch 5 to Sch 160, including Schedule No. identified as Standard (STD), Extra Strong (XS) and Double Extra Strong (XXS), these sizes are specified in ANSI/ASME B36.10M standard.
NPS refers to Nominal Pipe Size, that defines pipe outside, Schedule defines the thickness, they have corresponding values in mm sizes, see ANSI Pipe Schedule B36.19 & B36.10.
Pipe sizes in NPS are often confused, less than NPS 14 inch size is not actual diameter, over NPS 14 inch size is actual diameter, that is must be noticed.
Common manufacturing standards specification for stainless steel pipe is ASTM A312, other standards are available, such as ASTM A358, A778, these standards specify basic requirements, such as grades, sizes, tolerances, tests, pipe should be manufactured in compliance with standard.
Industrial pipe can be welded pipe and seamless pipe, selecting which pipe depending on applications, generally, seamless pipe have high strength than welded pipe, and maybe have a long lifetime, welded pipe is a cost effective option, with welding technology improvement, in many conditions, welded pipe can replace seamless pipe.
Stainless Steel Grades
There are various stainless steel grades for industrial pipe, common grades include TP304, TP340L, TP316L, TP321, TP321H, TP347H, TP309S, TP310S, duplex stainless steels are common grades use in harsh environment.
Pipe is usually jointed and installed with other components, like fittings, valve.
